They Don't Love You 2
Title: They Don't Love You Like I Love You [2/?]
Author: ohvick
Pairing: Mikey/Alicia, Mikey/Gerard, Gerard/SURPRISE:D
Rating: PG-13
POV: Mrs. Way
Summary: If I had done what I should’ve done, I wouldn’t have found out how very wrong I’d been and how much worse the situation really was.
Disclaimer: I don't even own their merch.
Author Notes: I got this idea from when i was making a bowl of ice cream (with chocolate sauce and sprinkles) and my sister called me fat. -_- thanks skinny bitch. p.s. this is soooo not fluff.
Dedications: oh wouldn't my sister be proud of this! and jujubescavities for putting aside all her morals and reading this. ILOVEYOU! and for all those who read this story, because without you, I'd be writing for nothing, obviously.

Perfect.

"Who’s hungry?” Gerard piped up.

Groans emitted from everyone. It was late, they'd just had an exhausting night , and OH MY GOD, TEENAGERS! An army of girls came running, screaming various different names and pet names for the band. They scared the shit out of me. One came up to me and Mikey and said “cute” about 50 billion times. The hoard of fans got signatures from each member and some actually asked me to sign their merchandise. They all welcomed Mikey back in unison, a couple teens with thick black eyeliner told Gerard how he had saved their lives, and the few brave enough asked Ray if they can touch his hair. It is like sheets of Egyptian cotton.

It was awful. They kept taking flash photos and I bet I looked so horrible in every single one, unlike Frank who posed just the right way before each snapshot, and didn't blink once

The crowd finally died down to a safe two young girls. They were really shy. I preferred them over the screaming fan girls who couldn’t stop babbling on about how cute the band was when they performed.

They gingerly hugged each member, but didn’t ask for autographs, surprisingly. Instead, they told them how they were their favorite band and how they gave them something to look up to as heroes. I couldn’t help but soften up at that. I hugged them again before they left us.

“That feels so good, you know?” Frank came up beside me. “To know that we mean so much to these kids. That moment right there, it just tops it all. It’s like, what we first set out to do…and we did it.”

“Yeah, wow, I’m so proud of you guys.” He smiled at me, not that forced cheesy grin, but the one that lit up in his eyes.

Bob and Matt joined us. Ray was busy on his cell phone, “Thanks Ma, I love you…. No, don’t do that-…ah, hi Dad. …yea-…I know…”

Matt was pretty cool. I saw why he was chosen to play while Mikey was with me. I wondered what he would be doing now that Mikey was joining the tour, but didn’t ask.

Over Bob’s shoulder I could see Gerard and Mikey deep in one of their private conversations again. They were standing really close and from the distance, I could barely see their lips moving. It didn’t matter, I can’t read lips anyway. Mikey looked like he was taking full advantage of his height, and seemed to be looming over Gerard in an intimidating manner. And, maybe I was imagining it, Gerard seemed kind of belittled, from the way he held himself. The usual confidence he personified onstage was gone and what was left was slouched over, shrunken Gerard.

Then Mikey poked Gerard’s chest in a way that reminded me of those bullies that were portrayed in movies. I walked over to them.

“Listen, Gee. You fuckin-”

“Guys…?” The look on Mikey’s face broke my heart. I’d never seen him look like that before and it scared me. He looked menacing, dangerous. I saw why Gerard looked so cowardly. But it was only for a second, and if there if there had been no resounding pang in my chest, I would’ve convinced myself I was imagining it. It amazed me how he wiped the look off so quick. Now there was the Mikey I knew looking back at me, a tiny smile on his face. “What’s going on?” I glanced over at Gerard who had his face hooded from the night.

“Nothing, we’re just talking about where we should eat. Gerard and I are starving, aren’t we Gee?” He nudged Gerard in the side, who jumped at the mere touch, “Hm? Yeah.” He looked up at me with some kind of sick desperation in his eyes, then at Mikey, then back to the ground again.

“If you aren’t hungry, you can probably stay here with the guys.”

And leave them alone again? “Maybe we can all go. Hey Bob, guys, how about Denny’s?” I could see the neon sign from across the parking lot. They groaned again. “Aw, come on. Too tired to hang with me?” I smiled a little too cutely, but it worked.

We all loaded into the gigantic tour bus, and I made sure I sat between Mikey and Gerard. How could they fight at a time like this? After all those months of being away from each other, they should at least be able to spend time together without any problems. Mikey was talking to Ray about something I can’t even remember because I was worrying about Gerard. He sat next to me, or rather sulked. I tapped him on the shoulder, “Hey, what’s wrong, hun?”

He looked up at me and smiled sincerely, yet sadly, like he was sorry for something. “Nothing’s wrong. I’m so glad you two are back with us. I missed you a whole lot.”

I awwww’d in a way that I’d usually find annoying, and told him how sweet he was and that Mikey was lucky to have someone like him as a brother.

“No. I’m the lucky one.”, He said, so softly I don’t think he intended anyone to hear it.

We stepped into Denny’s. Luckily, it was pretty vacant, save for the few old men who probably had nothing better to do on a night like this than talk to the waiters about how it’s nothing like the “good old days” anymore and watch CNN on the small television hung up in the corner.

We found a large booth that would fit the seven of us, all squashed in cozily. It was one of those U shaped ones. I let Mikey sit next to his brother, who had the center seat. To my right, Ray’s hair kept on getting in my way and everyone laughed as I struggled to tame it I finally gave up and just rested my head on him. His hair made the perfect pillow.

The waitress with abnormally large hair and cigarette lips took our orders.

“Jesus, Mikey.”, Frank exclaimed. “Exactly how many animals died in the making of that?” Mikey had ordered this big plate that looked like it could feed a family of four, and when it was Gerard’s turn, Mikey ordered the same for him.

The table shrugged it off and ate, talking animatedly and acting like children. Well, Frank mostly. The rest of us listened to the stories exchanged and the jokes were laughed at at the appropriate times. The Ways barely spoke the entire time, only responding when spoken to. I tried not to notice how every so often, Mikey would shove some part of his meal onto Gerard’s plate. Gerard’s frown would crease just a tad every time. Towards the end of our meal, when everyone else was distracted by Bob’s story of when he was a child, involving a very frozen ice cream bar, Gerard looked near tears.

I glanced at Mikey, probably looking really hurt myself, but he just looked at me like nothing was going on, like he wasn’t making his brother cry.

Something was wrong with this picture.

Ooooo, mysterious. I might seem like a dumbass but what the hell is Mikey doing? I don't know if the whole food thing is meant to be confusing, but it certainly worked.

Keep on going, this is really great!

So when I first looked at the Point of View and saw Ms. Way I was like

0.0

I've never seen anyone do it from the vantage of the Way's mother before.... This is gonna be awesome! But it's the other Mrs. Way and it is still awesome so please continue!
frankfurter: frankohvick on August 20th, 2007 11:07 pm (UTC)
wow, now THAT'S a good idea!
hmm...could you imagine how a mother would react if she found out her sons had a more than platonic relationship?
someone should so write about that.
and thanks a lot :)

I imagine that even the coolest of cool moms (as Mrs. Way must be having given birth to 2 Rockstars) would not take the discover that her children are friendly very well.

Someone really needs to get on this. It has limitless potential. Would she be hysterical? A flood of tears?? Or too shocked to reacted. There could be screaming or hitting things or silence that stretches for years. Could she, would she eventually get over it and find some piece in their love?

I seriously want this tale. I'm gonna go look for it.

yes! and you must inform me when you find it!
or maybe it could even be a comedy and she'd stop at nothing to keep them apart, in that sneaky way moms do.
or like, bring random boys and girls over to their home to "play with". haha, awkward.

I think it's really great. And you don't use too long time explaining things, so it does not get boring. And you use variated words, wich makes it more interesting. And at the end of each chapter(?) you have an end that makes you "have" to read the next and the next, and so on.

I love it ^^
